After finalizing the new name and tagline, we started the process of designing the new chamber logo and identity which includes a phase of sketching and analyzing concepts, using our brief and local sources of inspiration.
Concepts were distilled down and refined, presented and finalized in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Eloquently worded by the 2017 Chairman of the Board, John Quinlivan, the final logomark symbolizes:
“The confluence of the three rivers and seven hills. As you look through the arched doorway, you see a diamond, a shining symbol of a ‘city on a hill’, where opportunity awaits. There are threads coming together. Threads representing our fabric, the unique individuals representing a common goal, the same vision, to cultivate our community and to make it fertile for additional growth, producing jobs and harvesting opportunity for all of Rome and Floyd County citizens. One also sees bridges. We continue to build bridges, develop transformational leadership and connect people to promote business with a unified economic development approach. Brides connect us to our vibrant downtown, a gathering place where conversations spark smiles, laughter and innovative ideas and solutions. These bridges take us over the river to our sporting venues where we play tennis, walk the greenways, kayak the riverways and hit it out of the park at the Rome Braves Game.”
One extension concept proposed to the Rome Floyd Chamber was to represent the Young Professionals Group with “The RFC” acronym, coupled with playful arrangements in design of promotional pieces for the group.
The identity is also composed of a logo for Rome Floyd Chamber’s annual event: Confluence, a conference of inspiration, innovation and motivation for business leaders, technologists, educators, entrepreneurs and students hosted in Rome, Georgia. The Confluence logo was designed to fit within the Rome Floyd Chamber identity as a part of the ecosystem of the brand.
